With 16 miles of continuous whitewater and lots of surf holes, the Dead River is set apart from the other rivers in Maine! The Dead River "High Water" releases is what everyone talks about!! There are only so many releases throughout the season - If you’re lucky enough to run one of these 'High Water' releases, you’re in for a treat.

The rapids start out ‘BIG’ only to have the ‘BIGGEST’ rapids at the end of the day. This trip is both exhilarating and challenging for all rafters young or old. No experience is necessary! This rafting trip has a minimum age of 14 for the High water releases.

Looking for the wildest white water rafting trip available?? Look no further! Our Extreme Whitewater rafting trips are outfitted in light maneuverable 13 foot rafts with experienced, skilled guides. These river trips take the most aggressive lines on the river, offering you a truly adventurous white water rafting trip."Extreme Whitewater" means different things to different people, but we all agree these trips face you against Mother Nature. Extreme trips are only $10 more per person from the regular rafting price for the day.


Both the Kennebec & Dead Rivers offer very different experiences, so consider trying an "Extreme Whitewater" trip on both rivers.


These options require good health and high endurance. We must reserve the right to turn down a request for high adventure options if we believe you are not well suited to the rigors of this adventure or if water levels do not allow.


*Rafting trips include helmet, PFD, paddle, lunch, & guide! Don't forget to bring a tip for the guide.


** For Dead River Rafting prices a user fee of $13.00 per person to cover road access to the river and a levy paid to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife will be added to each rafting guest.
